Models with double pilot lights: After placing the dough in the waffle iron, the red indicator light will show after a short period of time. Once the baking process is finished, the red light will be replaced by the green one. Should the waffle be too light or too dark, adjust the temperature control or baking time. The first waffle to be baked in the new appliance should not be eaten, but disposed of. Place fresh dough into the waffle iron immediately after removing the waffle. After use, remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down with its cooking plates open.
Practical hints - In order to maintain the crispness of the waffles, place them next to each other on a rack to cool. - If milk is used instead of water, the waffles will be softer and darker. - In order to achieve even browning, all ingredients should be of the same temperature.
