Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Attach the guard extension (B) to the blade guard with the five M5X15 screws, washers and hex nuts as shown in figure 5. Make sure you have properly installed all required parts before mounting any cutting attachment on the unit. Failure to use the proper parts can cause the cutting attachment to fly off and seriously injure the operator and/or bystanders. [. . . ] You must always wear the shoulder harness attached to the trimmer/brushcutter, and hold the tool on your right side. Hold the right-hand horn handle grip with your right hand, with your fingers on the throttle trigger. With your left hand, hold the left-hand horn handle grip, with your fingers and thumb fully enclosed around the grip. The operator's right hand should be holding the shaft grip, with his or her fingers on the throttle trigger. The left hand should be holding the loop handle with the fingers and thumb fully enclosed around the grip. Reposition the loop handle up or down the driveshaft if necessary for a comfortable position. Squeeze the throttle trigger and wait until the engine has reached cutting speed before approaching the area to be cut. Always release the throttle trigger and allow the engine to return to idle speed when not cutting. Make certain all moving parts have stopped and disconnect the spark plug before inspecting the equipment for damage. Never use a trimmer/brushcutter that has a chipped, cracked or broken cutting attachment or guard. Pump the primer bulb (B) until fuel can be seen flowing through the fuel return line (C) to the fuel tank. Put the stop switch (D) in the "START/ON" position (G), and the throttle trigger on the fast-idle start position (E: Press F), pull the starter cord. Once the engine has started, turn the choke lever to the open position ( ). Then squeeze and release the throttle trigger to allow it to return to the idle position. If the engine stops running before you turn the choke lever to the open position ( ): go ahead and open the choke, pull the starter cord with the throttle trigger positioned on the fast-idle start position. Leave the throttle trigger in the idle position and pull the starter grip. If the engine fails to start after three to four pulls, follow the instructions in the Cold Starting Procedure section above. WARNING Never operate the Trimmer / Brushcutter without installing and using the harness. [. . . ] Deterioration caused by normal wear and tear, unauthorised or improper use or maintenance, or overload are excluded from this guarantee as are accessories such as battery packs, light bulbs, blades, fittings, bags, etc. In the event of malfunction during the warranty period, please take the NON-DISMANTLED product, along with the proof of purchase, to your retailer or nearest Authorised Ryobi Service Centre.
