1 Important safety instructions
Power requirements This product requires an electrical supply of 100-240 volts AC. The voltage on the network is classified as TNV-3 (Telecommunication Network Voltages), as defined in the standard EN 60950.

9 Phone settings
You can customize the settings to make it your own phone. Make sure that all the handsets registered to the base station are Philips CD49 models in order to have this feature functioning properly.
Silent mode
You can set your phone to silent mode and enable it for a specific duration when you do not want to be disturbed. When the silent mode is turned on, your phone does not ring or send any alerts or sound.
Note When you press
to find your handset, or when you activate the alarm, your phone still sends alert even when the silent mode is activated.
Sound settings
Set the handset's ringtone
You can select from 10 ringtones.

Select [Menu] > > [Sounds] > [Ring Tone], then press [OK] to confirm. The setting is saved.
Select [Menu] > > [Silent mode], then press [OK] to confirm. The setting is saved.
Note
Set the handset's ringtone volume
You can select among 5 ringtone volume levels, [Progressive] or [Off].

Select [Menu] > > [Sounds] > [Ring volume], then press [OK] to confirm. The setting is saved.
When the silent mode is set to [On],

Exclude the contacts from silent mode You can select the length of ring delay and set the contacts to be excluded from the phonebook. Ring delay is the number of rings that will be muted before the rings become audible on the phone.
You can set the sound in the earpiece among 3 different profiles.

Select [Menu] > > [Silent mode], then press [OK] to confirm. Select [On] to activate, or [Off] to deactivate the silent mode, then press [OK] to confirm. The setting is saved.
Note
Select [Menu] > > [Sounds] > [My sound], then press [OK] to confirm. Press [Sounds] for once or several times to change the sound profile during a call.
Access the sound profile during a call
Set the date and time
For further information, see chapter 'Get started', sections 'Set the date and time' and 'Set the date and time format'.
If [Exception] is set to [On] and [Ring delay] option
is selected, the handset rings only after length of ring delay selected is reached. Make sure that the contact under the [Set exception] option of the phonebook menu is set to [On] before you can exclude this contact from the silent mode.
ECO mode
The ECO mode reduces the transmission power of the handset and base station when you are on a call or when the phone is in standby mode.
Set the key tone
Key tone is the sound made when you press a key on the handset.

Select [Menu] > > [Sounds] > [Key tone], then press [OK] to confirm. The setting is saved.
Select [Menu] > > [Eco mode], then press [OK] to confirm. ECO is displayed in standby mode.

Set the docking tone
Docking tone is the sound made when you place the handset on the base station or charger.
When ECO is set to [On], the connection range

Set the sound profile
Name the handset
The name of the handset can be up to 14 characters. It is displayed on the handset screen in standby mode.
Display settings
You can change the brightness of the phone display during standby mode. Set the display
